We’ve got a long way to go!

When you think about care missions, you normally think about food, water, and shelter. But other needs sometimes get overlooked. Churches in South Dakota aim to address one such overlooked need by partnering with Days for Girls and putting together special hygiene kits for girls in Haiti. We’ve got hundreds of them ready, but shipping from South Dakota to Haiti is very prohibitive. So, we’ve come up with a plan to stretch the budget so that we can do the most good. But we need your help! Your church or organization lies on a road somewhere between our church in Bruce, South Dakota, and Missions Flights International in Fort Pierce, Florida. Can you help deliver these kits to the next church on the route? Let’s make a chain of love!

Here’s what you do:

  1. Coordinate pick-up and drop-off dates and times with the church you’re delivering to. (All contact information will be provided.)
  2. Transfer the cargo. Nobody has to drive more than a couple hours one way.
  3. When you transfer the cargo, get a picture with the folks you’re making the exchange with. We want to document this and share the rejoicing with every participating church! Exchange pictures will be sent as we go so that we can follow the progress online.

The chain launches January 2, 2026 and must arrive in Fort Pierce FL by mid-February , 2026.

Each kit includes a drawstring bag, tutorial instructions, shield, several liners, soap, underwear, and Ziploc bags. These are washable, reusable items. And, they address a big need for girls and women in Haiti, whether they are missing school each month or recovering postpartum.

The ladies at Preston Christian Church assembled the kits and packed the containers.

They assembled hundreds of kits and filled 12 containers!
